The traditional method used in many plant care programs was to just do frequent spraying applications to trees, shrubs and lawns whether or not pests were present. Eradicating pests and insects was the focal point of these programs.
Now, after many years of research, a vast bank of data is at the fingertips of
tree care professionals allowing them to address trees and properties through more effective and environmentally-sensitive health care programs.
What Tree Health Care Means?
The best way to understand the health of trees and shrubs is to think in terms of your own well-being: things grow best if their needs are looked after.
The struggle for trees and shrubs to survive is the result of failure to provide for their basic needs in up to 90% of cases. Lack of proper sun and water, planting in the wrong spots, improper planting techniques, soil compaction, and a lack of proper soil nutrients are all common factors.
As a homeowner, discussions with a good tree care professional should not be
focused on killing the insects and diseases but on how to continuously have healthy looking trees and shrubs. In most cases where infested trees and shrubs die, it is not as a result of the infestation. It has more to do with poor health conditions weakening energies, leaving them unable to survive.

Plant health care focuses on a plan consisting of pruning, basic cultural practices of do's and don'ts, fertilization, plant selection, cabling and bracing, and integration of some pest management and treatment.
Tree care professionals have exercised this root-to-crown approach in their traditional focus on trees and large shrubs. A
certified arborist now brings their experience and knowledge to the health care of all trees and shrubs on your property.
The landscape of your property is an integral part of your total real estate investment. A tree, a shrub, or your lawn can be an asset or a liability, depending on the care or neglect they are treated with. Some preventative care today can keep trouble minimized, and prevent disease, insect and other problems down the road.
And short-term costs now may lead to long-term savings and regular maintenance costs decreasing over time.

1. Start with a basic study and inventory of your property, the tree and plant life and the current growing conditions.
2. Together with the homeowner or property owner, we will devise a Care Plan tailored to your property and your specific needs. The plan will work to improve the growing conditions and utilize environmentally-sensitive treatments to address current insect or disease problems before they evolve into something more damaging.
3. Once a plan is agreed upon, the application and monitoring of those treatments and inspections will be carried out throughout the season as dictated by the
plan, and by time periods when those treatments are going to have the best effect.
